I really never do any static pictures...I use carrara for mostly video. I decided to post up an avi I made last year. I did some of the modeling in nendo but everything else is Carrara. Hopfully this video stays up a bit..I am using my personal ftp space for the first time :) Let me know what you guys think...I never really get to put anything in the gallery here so this is as good as it gets for me. -brent ps - its about 5.8megs and its micrsoft mpeg4

I viewed the clip. It started with some video that may have been footage of a live girl at a computer, then there were some pans and fly-thrus among some 3D translucent shapes. I think it might be effective as an ad. There may have been some cross-platform issues when viewing it in Mac OS 9.x and QT4, as the translucent shapes appeared to be highly pixellated and indistinct.

Brent - That video clip kicks ass man. Looks real nice. I didnt see the problems mentioned by nyar1ath0tep. I've got Charter as well. I've had them for about 2 years now and have been very pleased. I dont think they monitor web traffic. :) My site takes a lot of hits and downloads and they havent ever shut it down. Hawkin-Z GraF-X at Charter Clint

nyar1ath0tep... the codec I used is not mac friendly. Its microsofts version of mpeg4 so I would be surprised if you saw any video at all. I would make it work on mac format but I only have 6megs on my ftp so there is no room for any other version. Clint...yeah you can do what ever you want with charter. Your neighbors might hate you tho :) Just dont tell your neighbors about your website and you'll be fine. The have some really cool tech tho so they have just bumped up the bandwith in your area to handle it. I dont know much about the tech part of cable. I just edit video's...and get my free cable services :)

:) Well - I tell all my neighbors that cable modem sucks and they need to stay on dial up..(evil grin) They dont know any better. I'm the local neighborhood computer tech. If they have a problem seems they always call me. I've started handing out business cards to some of them .. gotta start charing for support. ;) Clint

Brent -- Very very nice clip! I remember when you were working on it; you posted a few stills from it here. Nice to see how well it came together. Now, is the girl in the beginning real or CGI?

Very nice video, Brent ! It's impressive to see it animated 8) . Did you add the motion blur in a video editor or is it Carrara ?

brenthomer ( ) posted Wed, 06 February 2002 at 8:27 AM

That blur at the end was a ice-plug-nn for Avid Media Composer. It is call light burst....and no chip the girl @ the beginning is not cgi :) I refuse to try people until C2 shows up with some bones.
