Anything that will output in the file formats that Poser will accept should work for props (ie wavfront format). Remember to scale it way down when you've finished making it as Poser models are very, very small. Specific software? Amorphium is very good for anything organic (hair, alien limbs, bottles, etc) as it uses a type of nurbs modeller, but it's not to great if you need to make precise lines and such. It's also very reasonably priced (about a third of what Cararra costs -- Mac Mall carries it). Another advantage is that it's very good for doing morph targets and you can find everything you need to know about using it for that purpose at Traveler's "Morph World" site (see side bar for link). You'll also need a utility called Compose which you can find in the utilities section of Free Stuff (be sure and download the Mac conversion package from Traveler's site if you decide to get into making morph targets). I only have RDS 5.5, Amorphium, and Bryce 4 so I don't know anything about some of the other 3D packages available for the Mac. You could check out reviews at the MacWorld site, though. Hope this helps you a little...
Thanks for your reply. I do have access to Amophium, and i will give that a shot. I also just ordered Carrara and undoubtedly that will provide the tools I need. Another question.... Is it possible to create a prop in Bryce4 (mac) and export it? I can't seem to get the export file menu to actually let me export anything....

Hello, I am wondering what software to use to create Poser4 props for the macintosh. I do not have Ray Dream. Is there an alternative?
