Got to play with my new toys from Sams3D!!! This is a scene been hanging around the back of my mind for awhile. Had to break down and spend my pennies to get it!!! LOL Has a long ways to go to finish, but am having fun with it. Still need to find a belt and holster for the sherrif and others. The Saloon and General Store are from Sams3D, and am using 3D World Kit from hmann (great toy btw). Any comments or suggestions welcome. Thanks. Robin

Off to a great start. One thing to remember when you start adding buildings on the other side of the "street": you usually had one very broad, very wide street down the centre of town -- and I mean wide. From there, smaller streets and alleys would branch off. But that main street was wide enough for four wagons to ride side by side.

Thanks V. Yes, I'm aware of the width of the streets. Have to have the room as I have a conestoga (sp) wagon, a farm wagon, and several others to add to the scene. Said it would take a while to finish. LOL Robin

Robin, no need to aplogize. Tnanks for sharing! One thing about the town: Remember you can "go Hollywood." Sometimes you don't need to show the whole town because it all won't fit in a picture. So you can have "sets" where only one or two buildings are shown. It cuts down on overhead, etc.

Nice job...and wasn't that the way these towns sprung up anyway, one at a time? lol Actually most of them just had the front of the store and a tent in back...hence the name "storefront" Sharen it would be great if you guys started working on a luxery hotel..hint hint. 8^) Marque
