Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
A friend of mine download one of our freebies, now many downloaded the same freebie and didn't have this problem and it may have to do with UV Mapper Pro. I used that for the first time to do a texture for that particular model, saved the object model and the one friend couldn't do anything with it until I put it back into regular UV mapper and then just resaved it out for her again. Now it may NOT be UV Mapper Pro, I have been experimenting with it, but see it works on OS XP, ME and '98, so maybe the operating system has something to do with it also. My suggestion is try to find out if the model was used at anytime in UV Mapper Pro, if so, I am sure Steve would like to know if there might be a conflict. This is just a thought, could be completely wrong here. Sharen

Have a problem that has only appeared in the last week. When importing a figure to Bryce I get an error about the file being bad media. This only happens to models exported from Poser. However if I run the model through UV mapper it is then OK. As I said this has only just developed in the last week - and I have a friend on the other side of the globe that has developed the same problem. Maybe it was something we have both downloaded? Anyone else experienced this problem? And any clues on how to fix it without a full reinstall of Poser and Pro Pack? The object export plugin is in a zipped file on the disk and I am not sure how it would affect things by just installing the module.
The supreme irony of life is that hardly anyone gets out of it alive.
