Right, I WILL get this right one day. Did another pic just to try it out!

For me "today is the right day" or are you not happy with it ?
The only problem that I can see is a too low resolution for the terrain on the left (raise it to 526).

for the footprints :

  1. Use the "Aibrush" to "paint" holes in the terrain : A small brush with a mid softness and a high flow.

or

  1. Use boolean operations : put distorded spheres or cylinders where the footprints should be. Select the terrain and the distorded primitives and click on "boolean difference".

Very nice image...and hey Jilly, the link led right to it! Way to go! :D

Thanks Audity, will give it a try.The res on the background terrains are actually 526, it's just that the foreground terrain is more than that. Yeah Varian, I'm getting there eh?

Great scene Jilly. I sure wish e-on would fix that bare stick that pokes thru the top of all its fir trees.

Yeah, know what you mean, it only comes in handy for putting the christmas angel on doesn't it?

Jackson, that's a characteristic style of that particular breed of fir. What they really need is to make additional firs and pines, of various types. Could sure use more of them. :)
