Well, I'm planning on entering this month's theme challenge, but if I somehow don't, I've at least modeled a mystical object....

This is so cool, I really like this. I like the scroll work on the holder that is holding the sphere. Sharen PS: your light is placed just right too.

Thanks John, thanks Marvilla! I had alot of fun withy this little, simple model, which I made with Rhino. Particularly once I got it into Vue. :) I'm working on a couple of other, more complex things, as well, for the cahllenge, and after this challenge is past, I'll put the objects in Free Stuff as .vob with materials and .obj, for other programs.

lovely model Mike, are you gonna feature it strongly in your challenge entry, or is it just gonna 'be there'. Personally I think it ought to be the focus, but then again until you model something else.........

This looks great Mike, quite photorealistic. I love it. It's very hard to get this "thick crystal" effect in Vue, I know:-) Guitta

Thanks some more. :) Yeah Jilly, probably gonna be an important part of it. And you're right Guitta, the crystal effect was very difficult, mostly because it wanted to keep reflecting the lights, and you know that a Vue point light reflected in something, is not a pretty sight. ;)
