OK, I've been thinking about this, and about the "variety is the spice of life" clue. What do we need most? What can anybody use? What is the weakest part of our Poser library? Right - the animals! If they did a Millenium horse, cat OR dog, with plenty of morphs and switchable bits, it would fit the price range, and please a lot of folks. Some examples: Horse... with wings (feather and bat), horn, fishtail replacement and male/female top replacement. Cat... with wings and choice of bird or cat front legs (gryphon/griffith), female top, lion's mane. Dog... with 3 heads, wolf MT, bat wings and flame tongue. Add some tentacles and fins and MTs to any of them and you get the scifi monsters. If they've talked to BryceTech about incorporating his wonderful fur technology, it could indeed be something very special and adaptable... and, yes, full of variety. :) Carolly

Hmm... who knows... Some animal's would DEFINATELY be good... some high quality ones. But I dunno... variety... hmm.... maybe a new costume pack? no.. they seem to connotate a character, a singular thing. Who's to say then... I hope it is soon, nonetheless. I could always fly over for a visit, Anzan. I've had that effect on people before .... If the mystery model does require Michael in some way, I hope it's either a catman character or the Michael centaur. If not, then I too would like to see Millennium animals.

Carolly, for what it's worth, my guess has been the Millenium Dog since day one. Of course, it is probably wishful thinking on my part, but since a dog is Man's Best Friend, and Michael is a man, I keep hoping. Kimberly P.S. Would really like to see a Millenium Cat too.

They will probably do a dog before they do a cat, but the cat is in the worst shape of the major animals. (The rat is far worse as a model, but how many pictures feature rats?) I suspect that they are dog-lovers since they did a cartoon doggy named Duke, but not a cat. However, with either the cat or the dog, there are apt to be partisans. The horse wouldn't get the "cat vs dog as pet" contingent riled up, but we do have a selection of horses, and can make the basic Poser horse look almost ok. The charger and bloodsong's heavy horse are both pretty recent. In favor of the horse argument, however, is that it can be fitted with so many parts as to make many more separate characters than can either the dog or the cat... although the punster in me likes the idea of a catfish. :) Considering how long it is taking them, it almost HAS to be a millenium animal of some sort... and almost certainly of the multi-legged variety (a snake or dolphin or fish wouldn't have been this much trouble to get right). There is also a possibility of a monkey, except that I don't see much room for variety except in species. Carolly the Patient

I wonder if it's taking so long because this way, with the uncertainty of what the mystery model actually is, more people might buy Michael 2.0... I don't really have any idea what it is, though it would be logical if it was something connected to Michael. Or, maybe not. ;)

I'm not so sure that it is directly tied to Mike, as they said it would be available for sale to those that didn't buy Mike. Why would they advertise it for sale to those who didn't own Mike if it required Mike?

Oooh, we get to guess again? Cool. I'm gonna say a set of morphs. Lots and lots of morphs for Mike and Vicki. Yep. Morphs, definitly morphs. You can take that to the bank. They may not let you do anything with it once you get it there though.

Well I guess it is time to give a little more information and narrow down the guess's. The "mystery" model definately fits in nicely with the Millennium family although it is not the family dog (or cat for that matter). The "Mystery" model is a creation made completely from the Michael mesh (morphable geometry). If we can get to a certain point today or tomorrow we will post some images.

Got all kinds of other fish, but no catfish.... unless... maybe it's all the polygons of Michael rearranged to be some sort of Super Millenial Catfish?!? One can only hope.....

Maybe a Millenium Monster, morphable into all kinds of two legged creatures, or maybe Millenium Michelle a muscular female. Or... Hmmmmmmmmmm....

The monster is a good idea... but it's not very.. family :chuckles: I was real excited before that part of the announcement.. now... I'm just kind of "hmm" hopefully it'll be something I'll use :grins: I've not touched any of those kids ever :chuckles: Hmm.. looking at that last paragraph.. Yeah, but you can't deny that a catfish makes a wonderful addition to any family. I had one once, and he was the most loving and affectionate little critter I'd ever added to the family. You just have to be careful when you pet them. And the best part is, when they die (usually after a walk in the park), hey, you have a nice dinner to look forward to! After the obligatory grieving period, that is. :)

That would be reason enough to go to Poser 5 for many people, even if they didn't care for all the goodies hinted at by Steve. As your human models get better, the P3 animals become worse and worse in comparison. Carolly
