Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 14 10:57 am)
That bunch of dots is actually the hair with it's transarency map applied. It will be there in whole when you render the image. ;o) If you want to see the hair to pose it or move it....select the hair...go to Render>Materials. In the Materials editor drag all the hair's Transparency sliders to 0% and the hair will appear in all it's blocky glory. Just turn the trans back to what it was before after posing or morphing.
Hope this helps. =OD
Select the hair. Use the "Document Display Style" buttons tool bar. When you click on the little triangle (i.e., the down arrowhead) to the left of the text, a small pull-down menu appears. (make sure you have the hair "selected" before you do the next step) Click on the little triangle and select "Element Styles" If you use one of the "Cartoon" modes of display, the hair will be visible (in cartoon mode) without rendering but will still render correctly. You only have to do this one time and you don't have to change any of the transparency settings. I use this all the time when I need to reposition imported hair props. cheers, dr geep ;=]
Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"
cheers,
dr geep ... :o]

When I load Vol Vicky into poser her hair looks like a bunch of dots, there is no texture. What am I doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to poser so take it easy on me. Thanks
