THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: How do you export an .obj from Bryce 4?

Is there a way? It says so in the Bryce 4 manual but the "Export Object" command is always gray/unavailable. The manual says to render the scene then export....I can export the image but I wanna get my stuff into Lightwave or Cinema 4, so that means I wanna export an object and not and image. Can someone help me plz? Thanks in advance.

You can't. You can export terrains only...but you can export them in many different formats. cripeman

If the object contains bryce primitives, booleans, etc. (anything besides terrains and symetrical lattices) it can't be exported. If it is a terrain, symetrical lattice or an imported object (.3ds, .obj, etc with none of the things mentioned above that can't be exported added to it) then click the little e next to the object when it's selected which brings up the smoothing screen then hit ctrl-d and this brings up the export screen.
