I've been working on this scene for weeks..and have changed the lighting more times than I can count... I'm finally at the point to ask for help? Any comments? Suggestions? The models were done in Poser, this is rendered in bryce. Anz

One I think that the ambience value is too high on the stones and floor. I say this because the shadows don't seem to match the shadows on the figure. I would suggest making sure the amb values is low ~10 and set to near the same for all your textures. Unless you are looking of make an object glow of course. If they values are not near the same some objects will appear to be brighter than others. Try a shaft of light down from the top towards the figure just in front of the arches. Add a texture so that is is barely visible. Add couple of very low level lights around the sides of the stones near the shaft of light to stimulate reflective ligthing (radiosity) from the ground. Make the color of the lights the color of the groundd Add some low level lights down along the shaft of light. This will help to illuminate the statues as if they were getting stray light from the shaft of light. Hopes this helps. Look forward to seeing the final.

Btw here is a tutorial on streaming lights just in case. Also I think there is one at brycetech.com Also if the green gas is is suppose to be glowing then you should put a low level green light there to cast a green glow on the surroundings.

Better, however I think you should turn the lights way down so the scene is not to bright.
