Using mimic with Poser, if there is background sound in the audio track ie music, does the character lipsync to that sound as well or just the speech?

Yes, music and background noise will affect Mimic. For best results, the audio clip fed into Mimic should consist of speech only. You can add a music track to the audio clip afterwards.
