Hey Teph, I just wanted to say thanks for the kick-ass car model you put in the Free Stuff! I was able to convert it with Deep Exploration into a .3ds file. For some odd reason which I don't understand, the car.lwo came in with all the wheels in the center, in a row. No biggie... I just had to move them. However the Exige.lws file had the car all assembled, but it was a much lower poly mesh, and didn't look as good as the .lwo file. I tried to give it a fiberglass look for the body here, but I don't think it came out so well. Looks more like plastic. Do you happen to know what a good setting for the specuularity and the reflection would be for shiny, smooth fiberglass? Anyhow, thanks again, I really like this car model. :)

Oh yeah, no motion, no driver. I fugure he had to pull over and take a leak.

LOL That's great! I really dig the lights too. Yeah I put the wheels in the center on the model so that I would not have to dick around with pivot points when I got it into the Layout. All I had to do was move the objects in place and parent them. Yes, the Exige.lws file was assembled but it should have had a level 5 sub-divide with it. No matter, you've created a great image with it. ....you do me proud! :)

Thanks Teph, glad you like it! As for the subdivide, well, I guess that would be a LW thing, but Deep Exploration only showed the model "as-is", and of course any sub patches or whatever, wouldn't show up. I almost ordered LW last week, but I decided the wiser thing to do would be to wait for this slow period I'm having with work to be over. By the end of April though, I figure, I'll be Lightwaving, and I really can't wait. :)

Oh, in case you're wondering, this was rendered in Vue 4.
