Is there anyway to export images, particularly in an animation, with a transparent background, instead of black or any other color? What is happening is that if I export an animation to image files, then go into Jasc Animation shop and remove the background, I get a white outline on the image when it is posted.

In Render Options, set the background to black, then export/save your rendered image sequences to Photoshop or TIFF format; they have an alpha-channel. Uncompressed AVI has an alpha-channel also. Poser has a nasty tendency to reverse its alpha channel, so you might have to invert the alpha channel once you've loaded the render into your editing program. And turn off antialiasing, or you won't get a clean mask. You can antialias in postproduction, with a gaussian blur or something.

And, as well, the alpha channel is one pixel too large as a mask. Just a heads up.

Can't you render it w/ anti-alias off, use that as the alpha and then redo the image with antialias turned on? I have never actually gotten to the point of liking a render enough to put more time into it via post production, but it seems it should work. eric
