Okay, I started this and I had a pretty good idea where I was going, but now I'm not sure where to go with it. It doesn't look finished to me, but I don't know what to change/fix. Some help?

Well, I don't know about you, but I like it. Sharen

Is something "mysterious" happening behind the butte? If so, then perhaps a little darker sky to give it a more sinister look? If not, maybe an eagle or hawk soaring overhead? jon

jmo something in the foreground that is reacting to whatever's back there would strengthen whatever mood you want to strike.

Hey, that's a cool effect.. How are you getting the lights behind the butte???

Maybe it would help to have the sun somewhere else in the image, so that there is no ambiguity that something special is happening/ Without that, it could be seen as an attempt to show ray coming from the sun. Nice picture though...

It's amazing what one can do with a single volumetric point light and the right gel... =) Rendering an updated version now; will post as soon as it's done (probably tomorrow morning).
