Subject: Full Body Morphing not working... hmmmm

Can anyone tell me why my full body morphs aren't importing properly? Let me explain... I'm bringing the full Micheal figure into Max4 via obj import, grouping it, then altering it's shape via edit mesh and other modifiers. I'm well versed in the whole morph target thing and am positive that my mesh is all in the right place for proper export/re-import into Poser. Now, in my best understanding, I should be able to export the entire thing as an obj, then in Poser, select "body" and from the figure drop down, import the obj as a morph target for the full geometry. I get to the dialogue where you can browse out to find the obj, then I load the obj and hit "ok" and the whole thing hangs up. Totally locks up and has a fit. Doesn't give any neato little error messages either... just locks up and I have to use my ever present Windows Task Manager to forcibly exit the program. This is very distressing as I have a few figure mods I've been trying to work on that I think other out there would greatly appreciate but I'm having to consistently go through the annoyance of seperate body part morphing rather than being able to run a full body morph the way I thought you were supposed to be able to. HELP!!!

Have you done a full body morph (FBM) in this fashion before? I could be wrong, but it was my understanding that the FBM was just a remote control for the various parts. by adjusting the FMB, all corresponding morphs of the same name/type throughout the figue are thusly affected. I THOUGHT the procedure was to add the morphs to the individual body parts and link them to a dial on the 'body' object by editing the .cr2 Anyone know?

that's the way i've been having to do it but I was under the impression that you could actually do that for the entire figure... if not, then that would be one damn fine addition to have made to this program!

Morphs are for groups. BODY is not a group. It is not a geometry at all. When you open a CR2, the figure that appears is a full body morph. It is just the morph that has been selected as the baseline shape. Save you whole figure as an obj and point a new CR2 at it. You do not need to park it in Geometries, but it is a handy place. If your morphed version of Mike is complete, it should open as a new figure. This essentially is what was done with Steph, and for Vic, the Mil Kids. Because the baseline will be different, the other morphs will probably produce results different from Mike. My choice is to apply each morph to its group, save the CR2, copy the morphs over to a template pz2, and convert them to MORdonor.
