Subject: Lightwave imports

I am a newbie to Vue (just started a couple of months ago) and am having problems importing Lightwave objects into Vue. Maybe I am just missing something but when I import a .lwo file I can only see a few polygons of the object. The object renders just fine but it is a pain to try and animate an object that you really can't see. I have tried tripling my polys before export, saving as a 3ds file, changing the view options in the modeling window, etc. and nothing seems to work. I am saving back to LW version 5 for import into Vue. Am I just missing the boat somewhere? Thanks in advance for the help!

Maybe you have too many polys. Vue tends to abreviate.

Have you tried it without Open GL turned on in the Options panel?

Check out what JoeK said (reply #8) at the link. A faster background draw speed causes Vue to drop polygons in the view panes.

Thanks everybody. The faster background redraw worked like a charm. Now I'm on to being able to animate some of my lightwave objects. Thanks again!!
