I finally went through the monitor adjustment given in the encluded link, and it agrees pretty well with the PhotoShop calibration utility. The good news is, I think I can get by without re-doing my whole Gallery. The bad news is, this sure isn't very scientific. I may still try to post some old images side by side with new ones to get a vote. But this would be unscientific as I'd still not be sure if it was monitor differences, or if I was just in a different mood when tweaking the values. I did end up increasing my brightness 6/100 (arbetrary) units. This may explain why some of your images looked too dark. The gamma then needed to change from about 2.4 to about 2.2. The snaps I encluded here all look pretty good, (at least image tone and dynamic range-wise). I don't know any other way to do this other than ask, "If these look really bad on your monitors, please let me know."

Look good to me, slightly bright on my monitor because my gamma is set at 1.8. Great snow image, I love the shadows & subtle colour.

They look a little bright on my monitor too.If the little boy and his mother is supposed to have black hair it is a bit bright, because I see the hair grayish.

Hmmm....they look good to me....to me the hair on the boy and woman look like highlights from the existing light, don't seem grayish to me.

I am, therefore I create.......

They look pretty good to me Misha, hey, I love the images of snow and beach side by side...is that a deliberate contrasting juxtaposition? :-)>

Thanks for the feedback. I'll leave it this way for a while. If they continue to look a bit bright to you please let me know.
