If you can save in .png format instead, I'd recommend yarp's P3dO Explorer, which you can download at SENO Software. Be sure to download the plugins pack, also, which includes a Rsr2Png conversion tool. I use it often when creating .rsr thumbnails.
I was just using RSR converter a couple of hours ago. It's still a slightly better alternative to P3DO if you want transparency in your thumbs, although P3DO has a lot of advantages and it's getting better all the time. Try rendering and saving the pct again. Sometimes they go wrong. Don't forget to invert the alpha channel in Photoshop or whatever image editor you use. If you can't invert the alpha channel then RSR converter is useless.

It converts rsr-to-png, and png-to-rsr. It doesn't convert pict. I can render an image in Pro Pack, save it directly to png format (with alpha channel intact), and then use P3dO to convert to rsr. Regular Poser users can render and save to tiff, then use a paint program (like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro) to resave as png, before converting.

I downloaded the rsr converter, i made my image 91 x 91 pixels and saved it in pct format. Then i opened up the program selected PICT to RSR, located my saved image but the damn thing says "unable to open file" "sorry there was an error converting your file" Can anyone help? Claire
