Well I intended to be in bed about 2 hours ago but I can't seem to stop playing with this thing. So, how did I do for a virgin render?

You did pretty good. I like it. Oh you have been vue-a-fide now... no turning back. Forget free time... ~G~ Sleep? who needs sleep...

Buffer this really is nice, I have not really seen a picture yet with this kind of moonlight effect. I like it, and are those the Vue plants? Sharen

Very nice moonlight image. And for a fist one it is just great:-). I like the discreet gentleman behind also. Guitta

Funny pic with the frog ! Maybe try to improve sand, and water seems not so realistic (is it default water ?) Yves

All of the items are those that come with vue. The sand does need some work, maybe some pebbles scattered or something. I used the one of the night time preset and moved the light so that there was no lens flare. Thanks for the kind words all.

I really like the runnels in the sand. The ligting is great too. YL is right that the water could use some work, but it is a very nice pic overall. jon

Pretty neat. After looking at it for a couple of minutes I finally noticed the guy standing over there, then I noticed the hat in the canoe on the seat. Things like that tend to make pics more interesting, so that's a nice touch. I think I would have added mayble a couple little patches of weeds or a rock or two. Pretty cool though, and a great start with Vue! What material is that you used on the terrain? Or rather, if you altered it, what did you strt with? It's very unusual, but still cool.

Nice work. I like the full moon lighting without having to see a full moon. :)

Buffer ( ) posted Sat, 23 March 2002 at 12:05 PM

The material is the chipped rock with paths. As of the making of that image I had not gone through the manual far enough to find out how to edit materials so that is a default setting. I wanted to add more small items to it but it was 2 AM and my poor eye's hadn't blinked in about 9 hours of playing with vue and reading the manual. I am still working on it this morning though, got a little more real looking water version but I still don't like it..

I think you're going to be knocking our socks off in no time at all! Great elements and composition in here, and the moonlight looks excellent. :)

Sleep? What's that? Wasting valuable Vue time with sleep! Great image btw, nice atmosphere going, I agree about the sand, but it's very well put together. This time next year you'll be selling your work to us!Lol.
