Subject: Sign up for Yahoo Groups to download free stuff?

If someone puts a link to a website and I have to click through some pages to go to the download page I don't have a problem with that, it's ok after all you get the item for free. But signing up for a Yahoo group is a bit too much - if membership is required I won't call it free stuff anymore. Just my thoughts about this. Friederike

I think I know which items you mean. They are saved in the files section of this yahoo group. 20 MB free and unrestricted webspace. I subscribed to this Group and got only the welcome message and thats it. No big conspiracy (this time). ______ Have you read the TOS today?

you can sinhn up dl the item you want and unsubscribe.it's all free.also there's some pretty good poser and 3D groups. 3Dcc has a group that has characters you can't get at the 3Dcc site.

I agree...I'm already a memebr of Yahoo groups, but when I had to join that group, I said nevermind and left...I thought it was going too far too. Have you read the TOS today? ...I can't find the TOS

Given that Yahoo is going to an all-advertising-all-the-time format that's really annoying, I wouldn't go back to a group on that site if you paid me. The two Yahoo groups I belong to are already moving out because the ads are becoming so absurdly pervasive.
