I made a prop in Rhino (NURBS), exported it as an OBJ (polygonmesh) and loaded it into Poser. Adjusted the size a little and added it to the Props Library. If I select the prop (or import it again as an OBJ) it shows only the outlines, only when I render it gives the full prop.

What am I doing wrong ?

Your normals are reversed, Poser thinks its inside out. Bring it into Poser and select "Flip Normals" in the Import Options.

Good looking model, you've got the shape just right.

Thanks for the compliment Phil. I am still a newbie but my modeling is getting better by the prop (although that's what I think).

You were right, the normals were pointing inwards, I inverted them in Rhino. Subsequently I had to UV map and texture it again ... both not my best skills yet. This revised prop is now available in the Poser freestuff.

The next step will be the modeling of complete uniforms ... I think it's time to order your CD now, Phil.
