Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 09 4:28 pm)
Check out UVMapper Pro by Steve Cox. He also has a free version at his site. It will involve creating a new material for the .obj file in your geometries folder and pointing a .cr2 at this remapped geometry file. Sounds a little tricky at first but no hassle once you get the hang of it. He has a tute at his site on how to use the app. or ask here again if you get stuck. SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING: Failure to backup a geometry file prior to messing with it can be hazardous to your mental health.

Hi there, I'm one of the glut of new Poser 3 users (magazine CD) and have a question. Is it possible to assign different surface materials to parts of a figure? At the moment, If I want to assign a different Object, Highlight and Ambient colour to say, the arms than the body has, I'm creating two figures and hiding the opposite bits of each. OK if I'm using defined poses or want to move one, save the pose and apply it to the other, but I feel sure there must be a better way of doing this. So far I've experimented with textures but the underlying material has a major effect on the texture it seems. Any ideas? Thanks, MrWibble
