I have been getting an error message that reads: "The file has a newer version number than expected. . . " This happens when I try to insert certain objects into poser. Any idea how to fix it?

Yes. Open the file in a text editor (for example WordPad) and find the version number in the beginning: { version { number 4.2 } Change it to 4.01 and save changes. :)

If you still get the error, scroll down to the bottom of the file (in the text editor) and see if the version number is there too - I've seen files that have it both in the beginning and at the end of the text.

Or you can ignore it and let Poser read it as is. Most likely, you're working with something made in ProPack. Plain ol' ordinary Poser can read them. Then you can resave it into the library and it'll become Poser 4 compatable with no sweat at all.
