'Afternoon all . . . 8^) Well . . . Spring is in the air, & it's the time of year for all creatures in existence to look for a mate or companion to share their love with. It seems that our friend here, is no exception, for he has also been struck by the "Love Bug." But unfortunately, being that it's his first time at this sort of thing, he's chosen a less-than compatible challenge to offer his affections to. Nevertheless, he's in love & there's nothing you or I can say or do, that will discourage his attractions or feelings for the redheaded, slender, & somewhat quiet selection that he has made. We won't say anything about this to him, in fear of breaking his poor little heart. I'm sure as time goes by, he'll learn enough about the "Birds & Bees," to make a much wiser choice next time around. The octopus & the bar-stool were created in Zbrush, & everything else is native Vue 4.06. I hope you enjoy the image, & you all have a good one . . . Mark.

Morning all . . . 8^) Thanks to all of you for your nice replies to this image. I have to be honest though, I didn't really do any planning ahead of time, it just kinda came out as I went along. I was playing with Zbrush when I came up with the octopus object. I wanted to see how good the octopus would look in a Vue 4 rendering, so I imported it into Vue. After rendering the octopus, & it looked so nice in Vue, everything else kinda fell into place. I really enjoy all the images that I see posted here, & I think that Vue has a great rendering engine. So it's a pleasure to create objects in another program, just to see how great they look in a Vue rendered scene. I must apologize for my work looking a little different from the normal images posted here, but once I open Vue & start playing around, my mind seems to start wandering in so many different directions that it becomes easy to create an image that is unusual. Maybe some day I'll buy Poser, & then I can do some images that look a little more realistic? All of you have a good one & thanks again . . . Mark. ;^)

No need to do always realistic images, Mark. Imagination is fun. When an image makes us laugh or jusrt smile, that's great and makes a nice journey:-) Guitta

I must apologize for my work looking a little different from the normal images posted here... Yikes, don't ever, Mark! The goal isn't to make images that look like all the rest, but to make images that come from within yourself. Sometimes those might look like all the rest, but you'll definitely feel the difference and so will your viewers. Great job on the octopus and the stool. One can just about feel the palpitations of spring love. :)

Mark, I suggest you may send this image to e-on. Could become a pic of the day:-) Guitta

kruzr ( ) posted Wed, 17 April 2002 at 4:39 PM

Thank you Varian . . . I appreciate your positive comments. The weather, the news, a movie etc. all can have an effect on what kind of an image idea I come up with. Sometimes I even get ideas when I'm in the produce isle of the market looking at the vegetables & fruit, very strange I know. But to be honest, without a program like Vue making everything so easy, to accomplish such a wonderful rendered final image, I don't really know if I would be able to transfer the ideas from my head, to the computer. 8^o Thanks for your suggestion Guitta, maybe I'll give that a try. But as I said earlier, this image is a little different than the others that I've seen on their pic-of-the-day site. ;^) Anyway, thanks again to all of you & have a good one . . . Mark. PS: ( Could someone tell me, when I see an "Instant Message" box at the top of the Renderosity page with a message in it, is the message for me or does that message go to everybody who views the forum pages? I don't want to be rude & not return an answer to someone, if they meant the message for me. )

gebe ( ) posted Wed, 17 April 2002 at 4:52 PM

Such an image is ONLY for you:-)and the answer is ONLY for the person you send the message:-) Guitta
