I just got back from spending a week in and around Houston, Texas. I spent most of the week visiting places where I could put my newly attained Nikon CoolPix 5000 through it's paces. All total I shot about 500 pictures over the course of the week (many copies of the same picture using different settings). Although I shot a lot, there are only a handful of pictures that turned out well, but on the bright side the good ones are very good. The above link will take you to the gallery where I am posting some of them as I get them ready for web viewing. Most of the pictures have been converted to 1024 X 768 resolution instead of the 2560 X 980 in which they were shot. For those of you on a modem, thumbnails are supplied in a 20K format. All of the pictures were shot at either Moody Gardens in beautiful Galveston, Texas, or the Herman Park area. More will be added over the next couple of days as I get a chance to drag them off of the camera and sort through the bad ones. Most are landscape or vegitation shots which might spark someone in here to create us a beautiful vue scene. I know this is more photo related but I thought you all might enjoy them.
Oh almost forgot, I got some shots that would work great for alpha plane fillers as well. Mostly hedge type plants but they could be adapted to all kinds of uses I assume. I will put a package together and throw it up in free stuff as soon as I get the time.
