Hi, maybe someone has an answer for me ... Well ... I bought a Digital camera ... a Casio QV 4000. So far so good - I must say a good camera :o). But I may need a little bit more Zoom - so I was thinking about a Tele-objective. The Casio has an autofocus and there is an Adapter available to mount lenses and things like that. It is exactly in the range of the hard-mounted objective of the Camera (it is a Canon-objective). What will happen if I simply mount a Tele-objective on this adapter ? Will I have a Zoom ? Will I get the image somehow sharp ? Will the autofocus still work ? Maybe someone has done such a thing before. I would be very glad for any experience ... Thank you

I never owned a Casio, but I had 2 Nikon Coolpixes. If, like the Coolpixes, your Casio has a zoom function, then the following information should work for you: If you by a fixed-focal length tele, like the EagleEye Optic Zoom, then you will have the zoom that your camera provides, but you may discover some vignetting at the wide angle end. If the optics of your camera are sharp, and the you buy a good quality tele lens, then your images should stay pretty sharp. The autofocus worked with the tele on my cams, but n ot quite as well as it did without the tele; it hunted more. I hope this helps. Sue

Like Sue I have never owned a Casio but I do own a coolpix 995 and I also purchased the EagleEye Optic Zoom (Expensive compared to some other teleconverters but the image quality and light gathering ability is tremendous, and as such i think it is good value. I hope that makes sense). The EagleEye works extremely well with the CP995. The CP995 has a four times Optical zoom and I do not get any vignetting as long as I use optic zoom on the camera at 2 times or greater. But make sure you check out the compatability of the EagleEye with your Casio before buying it if your thinking along those lines, as some cameras do not work well with the EagleEye Optic Zoom. The image with this message was taken hand held with the CP995 EagleEye Optic Zoom Combo in low light conditions. The effective focal length was approximately 750mm.
