Subject: Looking for Old Western stuff

tonymouse ( ) posted Thu, 18 April 2002 at 9:50 AM · edited Sun, 08 December 2024 at 4:17 AM

I am checking out sams3d for $ stuff, but I still need stagecoach and and other assorted bits pieces, guns, rifles, and buildings or backgrounds etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? I am on a limited budget, but anything for consideration, free or pay. It is turning into a larger project than I though. Thanks for any help.

You can find a stagecoach here, and Greylight has some great weapons here: http://www.greylight.com/poserweapons.html For the buildings, you might try 3dcafe, but I don't know if they will have anything you are interested in, but it's worth a shot. BTW, they are all FREE! (: Genny

You can also find a stage coach at Cal's site, he has lots, we are making some stage coaches but they won't be ready for a while....sorry. But Cal's site will help you. Sharen

I have a few western style weapons available (3ds/obj format) If there's any you're interested in either email me or send me a site mail on 3dcommune.com with a list of what you want and I'll see about making them available for download somewhere. Unfortunately I had to close my site a couple months back and haven't made any arrangements yet to re-activate it.

Follow the link to see Old West gunslinger and riflemen poses at DAZ. Most were configured around Questor's fine firearms and several of his revolvers and rifles are included in the set for free. All are smart props. Crowfoot has several old west figures at Bbay including pairs of Union and Confederate Civil War soldiers plus a set of 1870's era Cavalry Troopers. They are very reasonably priced and come with bunches of props, etc.

And very cool poses they are too, from gunslinger to rifleman from foot to horseback. Enough to keep most people happy for a while. :) Sorry for the spam image, but it seemed easier to post it to this thread as there's already two images here and people have been asking if those are all that's available. No, there are others, see image. Again, if anything is of interest, ask by email or alternatively site mail at 3DCommune and I'll make arrangements for you to get them.

Questor - I'd be glad to host thoses for you. I'd give you full credit, of course, and give you the link so you could post them in FreeStuff. www.fallencity.net is my site.

Questor, I read about your vacation. I hope you are feeling better. Your firearms are absolutely great! Thank you for your generosity! Pinto

Excellent firearms Questor. They look fantastic, however I believe you have the Colt Army and Colt Navy mixed up. Unless I've been shooting the wrong gun all these years.

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Fri, 19 April 2002 at 2:11 AM

Oh wait a minute. Mine is the Confederate Navy Revolver. What an airhead I am.

Hi Questor, Just wanted to say, I love all your guns and that my husband is a hobbist/gunsmith and says they are all very authenic. I was using your remington rolling block that came with Don's FANTASTIC pose set,in one of my images, and he reconized it right away! (: Anyway, should you decide to post these for free, or even for sale, please let me know, I want them ALL, especially the Sharps Carbine. (: Genny

Thank you Crescent, Pinto, Groingrinder (heheh, I make these mistakes too.) and Genny. It's great that you like these things. Hopefully they will be available as freebies again soon, I'm exploring a couple of avenues and we'll see. Crescent, thanks, I'll be in touch. I have something else in the pipeline at the moment, but I will contact you. Genny. I don't sell stuff, it's a personal thing. So everything I make is free. It's just not always easy to get hold of. LOL
