I don't really have any suggestions for improvement, other than further refinement of the lipsync algorithms. Expanded audio support (compressed audio files, MP3, etc.) would be nice, but it isn't a big issue. I can always convert. It's better for the audio to be uncompressed until the final cut, anyway.

I emailed the folks at LipSinc this morning for an update on the progress of Mimic for Mac. I just received an answer back from Steven Wright, Director of Quality Assurance, with a link to a beta of Mimic for Mac. I'm going to put it through its paces this weekend. To quote Steven's email to me: "You asked for it! :) Here is the latest build of our Mimic for Macintosh product. We are on the verge of release so we would appreciate feedback by Wednesday of next week. Feel free to put Mimic through the ringer! Test everything! There are still some minor issues that we are working out: + Help file doesn't launch in OS8.6 + The Launch Poser button doesn't work on some systems. Please give us feedback on the following: 1) The install process 2) Using the product (usability, defects, etc.) 3) Any suggestions you may have that would make Mimic a better product." So I'm going to dl it this weekend, then test it in my computer lab at school on Monday (I have a 14-seat license for Poser 4 on my iMac workstations). If anyone has some suggestions for features that they'd like to see, please reply to this thread and I'll pass it along!
