Subject: Visable joint seams in openGL?

All of a sudden I've noticed that the seams where the figures objects join have become more pronounced. Some as in the shoulder/upperarm, upperarm/lowerarm look raised. It looks similar to pipes with welds that have been sanded down but are still obviously visible. Others look slightly concave. One of the worst seams are on the backside of the P4 figures (P3 also). There the seam looks pinched inwards. When the figure renders these seams are NOT rendering. Has anyone else had this or similar problem? It's very disconcerting to look at even though the render is fine.
