is privacy an illusion? Am I hidden from your eyes or can you see me anyway?

you dot know this, but I live in the house across from you, and was peering in on you when u were taking this shot. Stop taking naughty pics of me ya bastard, or I'll call the cops!

CrystalWizard ( ) posted Tue, 23 April 2002 at 11:33 PM

hmmm funny, thought that the guy that lived across the street was a cop ;)

Nice shot. You used DOF perfectly. Some of Fox Talbot's earliest negatives, maybe shot around 1826, are kind of similar to this, looking right at the light through a mullioned window. Based on your caption 'though, his concept of what he was doing was quite different. What a difference 175 years makes LOL!

beautiful....yet interesting. (",) btw, that 'cop' is the getup Slynky wears at weekends. Something about feeling powerful with a big baton in his hands and handcuffs at his hip......

PhrankPower ( ) posted Thu, 25 April 2002 at 2:43 PM

... and I'll bet he looks absolutely stimulating in that uniform too! BTW, that house looks exactly like the houses in my neighborhood.... even the bricked up mailboxes (which I think is dumb). Let me guess.... built in the early to mid 90s?

CrystalWizard ( ) posted Thu, 25 April 2002 at 3:42 PM

built 4 years ago actualy so late 90's but here where I live ... where kids play mailbox baseball..brick stands up better than most other stuff

JordyArt ( ) posted Fri, 26 April 2002 at 6:52 PM

Actually, WHY do you Americans have mailboxes? What's wrong with the good old fashioned idea of a letterbox in the door? At least then you don't have to go outside for your mail in the winter. or have you got lazy mail men??? (",)

CrystalWizard ( ) posted Fri, 26 April 2002 at 6:54 PM

because the mail carrier doesnt' have to get out of his truck and get a little excercise by walking a few steps to the door ;).
