I just bet that the images we see are all going to be in the 'fine art' catagory. Comic art, or humor art may never get nominated again. Due to this, I think the catogories shouldn't be related to type of software but rather genra. Let's say for april we do fine art. May could be political. June could be landscape. July could be abstract. etc. Withing each of those catagories you would have to pick a group of people, perhaps one or two from each software group. With something like that, we could be assured that the 'committe' won't pass someone over simply because this small group doesn't have someone who appreciates basic simple lines. Alternatively you could ake the choice by software then pick different people from each of the genras but I do believe that would be a much harder way to go about it.

I hope we don't get a situation where people purporting to be Secret Art Commissars abuse their positions of power in order to promote the nomination of a particular person for political reasons. I also hope that this thread won't get moved from the Poser Forum and not become so divisive that it has to be locked.

Well, like attempting to sell my props, I gave up on artist of the month a while ago. now it seems it's just gonna be a even smaller group of "Honeied ones" to choose and be choosen. But of course I'm happy about this. For they know far better than I what real quality is. I'm just a CC number to them. But i'm not bitter. Just no longer interested.
