Subject: DUMB QUESTION-BUT

Is better to conform boots to figure or adjust the boot then parent to figure. Or can I do both eg. conform, adjust then parent say boot foot to figure foot. I know to make the figure foot invisable, but I'm allways having to adjust the boot when I pose the figure. Is there an easy way to do this? The high heels are allways under ground. Would lock boot figure help? Thanks for your time. Tashar 59

If the boots are pp2, parent them to the figure and after conforme them. Now you can adjust the foot's figure with the dialer to take place in the boots. Your high heel are under ground because when you drop the figure to the floor, Poser use only the vertices figures. So to drop to floor the figure wearing a high heel the figure foot must be morph to reflect the boots geometry. I am remember see a banner for morph doing it, but unfortunaltelly I dont remember who selling it. Hope that help. Guy

heyas; if the boot only touches 3 body parts (shin, foot, toe), you can use a prop and parent the boot to the foot with 'inherit bends of parent' turned on. that supposedly works just as well as conforming. (not all the time, though.) that way, you can move and size the boot to fit on almost any figure. if that method doesn't work so well, or the boot is a thigh-high boot, you will need to make a conforming figure. that will only work with the figure you make it conform to. so if you want boots for different figures (p4, millenium, male, female), you have to make one variation for each. when you conform it, make the foot and toe invisible, and taper the shin, so the shin doesn't poke out. if this doesn't help, and you still need to adjust the boot... i wonder if the boot is created properly, or maybe you're using it on a figure it wasn't made for? not sure. for the high heels, you have to pose the foot so it is standing up on the toes, unless the boot is made for the 'high heel morph' that guy mentioned.
