I'm working on this M16 CAR and wanted any opinions on it so far. I'm not done with it yet (having a little trouble with the Grip). I may be getting a little too detailed on it (it's up to 227000 poly's now). Should I sacrifice the detail for size? (Size right now is 17meg) I sometimes think I get carried away with every little detail. What's there is exact (except for the pistol grip) in every detail, and I'm looking for opinions if it should be or not. Thanks for any help. John

Gorgeous! Are you going to sell it??? My opinion is that you might want to make both a High Res and Low Res version and offer them together. There are times when you want that much detail and there are times when you don't need it. Looks great so far.

Thanks, Alleycat, that's a good suggestion! I can certainly take the High Res model and remove a lot of detail. I was actually going to put it out in freestuff, but I think I'll put it out as High and Low res as you suggested.

I don't know what a real one looks like, but it looks realistic.
