She found herself standing within arms length of the lone human. She stood there, unsure what she shoudl do, cough, say hello, tap dance, or whistle. The seated male sat up, grew still, he head turned to abrihahn. "Abri?" said the male. "Hey pete.." abri said in a small soft voice. It was right then she knew, pete was as blind as a bat. "Sorry I didn't see you come in." said pete and he flipped the book he was reading over. "Well, for a goddess that spent her night in a sewer, she doesn't smell a third as bad as one would think." said pete and he looked up at her. "care to sit, or are you afraid of sticking to the seat." he said with a smile. Abri blinked twice, there he was, and talking to her, in the back of her mind a slight shock hit her, as if to say hello, you are on the air. "yeah..I'm sorry but I didn't have time to stop at home and pretty up." said abri still standing there, facing her next dilemma, where to sit, across from? to next to? just stay standing? Just then pete leaned towards her and scooped up her hand and gently pulled her to the side he was on. Abri felt about 1 pound as she felt herself following his gentle, soft hand. "Yeah..I suppose I should have told you I was blind, but that bely the fact I'm still a great dancer." said pete and he shifted over to make room for abri. The waitress showed back up, with a cup of coffee."hey abri, how ya been, you want the usual?" Abri's head swiveled as on castors to the waitress, almost like she was drunk. "Huh?...ya-huhh..yeah." said abri. The waitress looked to pete. " cheese omlete, and fries please." said pete this caused abri to swivle back to him. "You ok abri? you look alittle green." said pete. "I'm sorry pete, it's just, well, I.." stammered abri. Her mind was on fire, so much was happening she felt alittle overwhelmed. The only thing that seemed to help her keep her steady was the fact that pete was still holding her hand, or rather just covering her hand. She looked down at it. Her fingers curled around his hand, almost as if it was a rope. she thought hard to release her grip on it. Abri heard herself again she was sorry as she tried to lessen her grip on his hand. She looked up at him and was a little further suprized to see he was far closer than before, less than a hand width away. His squareish calm face looking dead at her. Abri felt his finger softly stroking her wrist "I know abri..I'm scared shitless too, I guess I should be saying sorry." With those simple words she relaxed her grip. She felt the blood run back into her face again. She smiled bigger than has had in a long time. he did hide it well, but the trembling she could feel come from his hand, she knew he was telling the truth. "Pete, hun..I have to tell you something, and you being blind only makes it harder." said abri as she ligtly squeezed his hand, maybe for the last time, he had to know, but he felt sooo right. "Well I can tell you aren't 800 pounds, and you aren't a guy, you aren't a serial killer are you?" said pete with a wry smile as he continued to softly stroke her wrist with a finger. "Unless you are a vampire.. I realy don't like vampires.. way to creepy for me." finnished pete. Abrihahn dug her shoulder into his armpit and chuckled, "No...I'm not vampire, they creep me out too." she said "Hun..you need to let me say this, before this goes to far.." said abri with a bit of sterness. But her body was hardly listening since she was now even closer to his face. So close she could feel the heat of his face on hers. "Ok...I'm listening." said pete knowing how close she was. As she summoned the courage to say what she needed to tell him, she could not help but wonder what a kiss from him was like. She shook her head a little and with a deep breath she said the words. I'm an orc female. As the words tumbled out of her mouth her eyes scanned his face in the vain hope these words didn't stop what he seemed to be feeling towards her. Her hand seemed to cry out for him to grip it, instead of recoiling in horror. She felt her heart race, pounding within her chest, she felt sweat form on her lip. She felt the room begin to spin. Finnaly after what seemed a thousand years (about a 1/3 of a second) his finger continued to stroke her wrist. and his grip on her hand tighted a little. Pete drew in a little closer. so close all abri would need to do is pucker and she'd be kissing him. He simply said "And?"
