sittingblue: "but I think you should make them into 3DS objects if possible." I'm not realy sure what you mean, they are in 3D. "sun roof dome thingy" A thingy? ok... Garage doors coming up. :) gebe: There are no Metasequial forum here... (hint, hint) and there are only Vue people, that load them down anyway. More windows coming up. :)
Light fixtures. All shapes and sizes, possibly some of the less elegant ones. I find when I am trying to do a rustic or non-modern picutre that any light entering the scene has to come from outside the picture because a gold light fixture in a dirty old shack just doesn't look right. I would really like to see a post apocalyptic group of materials or objects.

You guys were thinking about 3d Max.. ok.. I can save the dxf files as 3d Max dxf files, but not as 3d Max files. And I'm not sure how you should use the Image1, to make the holes in the curtain. I'm suppose to be able to borrow a old version of 3d Max, but that could take a while. MS_outlaw: Thanks :) (is it possible to load dxf files into poser?) Buffer: I only have Vue 2.x, so I think lights would be useless. I can't realy make the light I want. (link) I'm not realy sure what you mean by p.a.g of objects, could you specify, or put up a link with a picture?I brought up the .3DS format topic, because the .DXF files don't have UV-mapping as part of their file structure. I'm not sure what happens to an imported .3DS object after it's saved as a .VOB object. I think, not sure, UV-mapping is only important if the object is receiving picture-based texture mapping.

Hmm lets see how could I describe this. I guess the best visual representation I can give is that of a game called Fallout. The game itself was set in a post holocaust world. Technology that was left over was that ranging from standard 1950's type duck and cover stuff to plasma based. But the whole world was built in a rather non-modern state. Rusty metal reigned supreme. Wood was worn and rotted from being exposed to the harmful enviornment etc. Just kind of a rusty, dirty, no brass and gold, light on a ware suspended from the ceiling with nothing but an old hub cap for a lamp shade. Things of that nature. Attached is a link to the publishers of the Fallout series of games. Check it out.Buffer: So the totaly opposite of what I have made so far then... I'm on to it, but it could take some time ;) sittingblue: When i make objects, I don't think much about uv-mapping or texture. I make the object and put the texture on aftrewords. When I load up free objects, i very often forget the texture, so I guess you should use the texture that you belive is good. And if there are images in the packeges, you could use that. So parisian window (never been to Paris though), garage with stuff, fireplace and architectural element and some rusty old stuff. Then I got objects to make :)

To those who have tried any of my freestuff objects and ended up with the message, can't find ..(something)... acMahognyL.mat . Then you should make a folder(or map or what ever you call it) named Mine in the Material folder and load up the folowing .mat ( I think that should work.)( I don't have 4.x, so I got no idea how it works...) What kind of stuff would you people want anyway? I looked through my freestuff and the aluminium stair seemed to be the most popular. Is that what you want? If I don't get sugestions, you end up with more curtains and stuff like that.... ;)
