I design factories for a living. The one I'm working right now has several large presses in it. These machines need their own foundations. To give the project manager an idea of how big these foundations would be, I scale the model, imported into poser, stuck dork in the corner, and rendered it. It got the point across, and I think it turn out quite nice.

40 feet above the floor, 13 feet below the floor. It a 3000 ton press.

I take it your employer has no sense of humor about posing figures in peril in these settings (Oh nooo Mr. Bill!) I mistakenly thought the interior was a basin for molten steel running down the channels...
