Im on win xp since a half year and since than all those problems seemed to be solved.Nomore hangs during rendering. Than last saturday it started again, hangs during rendering, corrupted rsr-files after that.... Thought it was a problem with some new clothes i bought,but even with older stuff that never caused problems,the same But on satuday i got a new mouse( old one was damaged) The old was a PS2 mouse, the new could be set as PS2 or USB .Used it as USB.Was recognised from XP and everything running well ,all but poser.After i placed the mouse in the PS2 port (with a adapter) poser is running without probs again. The old one was a ballmouse ,the new is an optical. Any ideas what caused it???

Sounds like some sort of conflict with the mouse/USB thing. You got graphics acceleration turned all the way up? Sometimes I have to turn my graphics accelerator off, particularly if I'm trying to work with a really complex scene. Dunno if that's the problem, but it might be worth looking at. Kate (who lost an entire day's work to a lockup last night. Don't ask, it's a long story, but turning off graphics acceleration fixed it.)

Turning down hardware accelaration was one thing i tried, didnt solve the problem

Well, then, we've narrowed the field by one, right, thgeisel? =) Guess there are a lot of different things that will cause poser to just sort of hang there.
