Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 9:50 pm)
Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I'm really trying to avoid the reinstall until after I pick up the new external drive, but if I'm not going to be able to work at all ... ugh. It's definitely not the usual .obj error on the first one, I tried deleting the .rsr just in case, newp. And I've used that character over and over without problems till now. The second loads everything just fine, THEN throws errors when I try to render. Feh.

Poser gave me a monstrous crash earlier this afternoon when I tried to import a 3DS file. Now, when I try to add one of my characters, it totally locks up after a series of the usual: "texture map does not exist or cannot be found," and everyone's favourite, "You are out of memory!" and then Poser does a major crash. When I try to render another that DOES load ... the messages repeat on loading, and it crashes again. In the latter case, it's almost worse. When I use the option to view with textures, they're obviously there. Yet it still tells me that a map doesn't exist or can't be read, and crashes. I know all the files are there. Does anyone know what the heck is going on before I give up and try to reinstall?
