Ok, this could just be me, but it seems a bit weird that all of the files after about the 3rd one have over 3600 downloads. I'm totally willing to accept that people do download these items quite a bit, but when they all have at least 3600 downloads - specifically 3600 - it starts to look a little odd. I'm sorry if this has already been brought up! Aaron

I think something happen to the download count is right, if you look all download are about 3661 and count. I've called renderosity and they are aware of the problem. It is nice to see my stuff going from the 700's to 3600's in no time at all. Being that the files are on my server, my bandwith is only 384 and the files are 1m each. The math doesn't work or maybe my ISP changed me to ATM. :):) (thanks you god!!) thebert

Since when does "need" have anything to do with freestuff? ;) Its just a glitch in the database hit counting. They'll fix it eventually.

We've had this problem before if memory serves. But hey, ALL my free stuff items now have well over 3,000 downloads. The last time I checked, the highest download count was closer to 1,500 or 1,600. Ron Message671422.jpg

lol me too tmgraphics yeah its screwed up again. looks like no more accurate counts for the freestuff.

Looks like the counters have been reset to 0 at some point, because the older stuff all have 0 or just a few download counts now. (One of my freestuff items had about 900 downloads a few days ago and now it's at 1.)

Nothing to worry about unduly folks. The counters went screwy, and it's being fixed. They have been reset to zero as a temporary measure, and when the last known good values are restored from tape the two sets will be added together. With luck, only a few hour's worth of hits will be lost. I've been told it may take a few days to get it all ironed out though. Kevin.
