Subject: MAT poses? How?

Hullo.
I like making things available for download and by now I have made some textures that I would like to make into a MAT pose. But how? I guess there's a tutorial somewhere but I haven't stumbled upon it as of yet. Also...how do you make an .rsr? For instance for a face file?
Thanks in advance.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Wow. I KNEW it had to be there somewhere. Thanks! Next question is then... how do you make/get the .rsr? and what is it good for? Doest it do anything that the .png doesn't?

If you can use .png thumbnails you don't need an rsr file. However, if you're going to distribute your MAT file you should also have an rsr for those people without the Pro Pack.

I highly recommend P3dO Explorer. It has an excellent RSR -> PNG and PNG -> RSR converter. Just remember that the thumbnail size must be 91x91 pixels.

Getting the rsr file is tricky. Poser Pro Pack won't create the png file or rsr file for you by itself. Here's my solution: 1.) When you save the MAT file, you see the little shrugging guy that tells you no rsr/png exists. 2.) Click on it to do the MAT work. 3.) Save the Pose file under a slightly different name (ex: mat1 instead of mat). 4.) Delete the "pp2" file for the "bogus" new item. 5.) Rename the rsr file to the proper name. Important: Do not resave your MAT file with the original name. This file won't actually do the MAT work... It's something weird with Poser. You just want the little thumbnail. So you follow the procedure I outlined above. Trust me, it works. I've done it! Message671414.jpg
