THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Ranged Falloff "bug" in Bryce 4????

I have tried and tried to set the ranged falloff for a spotlight, but the fact is, no numbers show up when I click alt, hold my mouse button in the preview pane, and drag my mouse cursor. I do have ranged falloff selected. Just for the sheer torment, I uninstalled and re-installed Bryce, no go. I cannot set it. Has anyone else had this problem or figured out what to do?

I figured it out. I didn't have the 4.1 patch which fixed this.

If you have the 4.1 patch installed you can also use a Photoshop gradient with a light. Hold the shift key when you create the light, an open dialog comes up. Only problem is the gradient does not save with the scene file, so you have to delete the light, then recreate and set-up the light every time you open the file.
