Chey Atkins was a world renowned guitar virtuoso, known not only for his country music stylings but as a master of numerous styles of play. He recorded albums with the likes of Mark Knoppfler of Dire Straits to players all over the world. there is a bronze statue as a tribute to him in front of a building downtown. This is my take on it. Shot in color, masked the statue and changed the background to B/W and blurred to make the statue stand out a bit...it's a little different effect.... Jack

Thanks for the critque Alpha! Yeah I think a bit more room around him(?) would be appropriate, I was trying to emphasize the detail of the statue, so I shot up close. It really is a remarkable piece to see up close. I may try another shot that way, it's not like he's (it?) going anywhere... Here's another angle.... Jack

The difference in the background is really effective & puts a good emphasis on the subject & really brings out the limited colour in the statue, nice idea.
