It looks like the little circles raindrops make in puddles, but the 'water' is the wrong colour for that, very interesting!

Think the new one looks a little bit better, except the rain didn't show up :( In my parents garden, there are "flatstones" to walk on. When these sinks in the earth, they collect the water into puddles.

My only thoughts about it is that, if these circles are made with terrain editor, you maybe should soften them with erode for more natural looking, and also make them smaller... Except that, it's a great looking job !
