Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
I would suggest checking the readme file for installation instructions. I'm not sure what this character includes. Is it just a texture or does it include morphs? Textures and morphs are applied differently. If it's only textures, place the files in a folder you'll easily remember the location of. Select Michael, then in Render, Materials, click the browse button and find the file. Be sure to apply it to all body parts. Also, apply any transparency or bumps that might be included. If this is in the form of a MAT file, it should be saved in your Pose directory. Then, it does all the work for you. Just select Michael and apply the MAT pose and the textures will drop into place on their own. I hope this helps. Melanie

You might download my Mike Texture Tutorials. This one shows how to manually setup Mike's Textures.Attached Link: http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/files/miketext.zip
This tutorial shows how to use the textures you can buy from DAZ-3D (www.daz3d.com). You can use MAT files on these textures. I've created these tutorials in Adobe Acrobat format. Just click the links to download the tutorials. ![Message671414.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message671414.jpg) RonIf you have Poser Pro Pack I suggest getting MK Particle Scripts, which only cost $20.00. It provides an easy way to change Micheal's skin to white and apply new texture maps, without going crasy with the map materials dialogue that comes with Poser. It also allows you to create MAT pose files for any figure, but not for props.

PS: If you buy your textures from Daz one nice thing is that they all come with installers that make it much easier to get everything where it is supposed to go.
If you don't have ProPack-- or even if you do-- I suggest you go to Traveller's site and pick up his utility, Hide/Show. It has MATs for whiteing out Mike and Vicki and I use them all the time. It also has automatic hides for parts of the bod that poke through clothes. Great package and it's free. By the way, if your new and confused about Mike 1 and 2-- Mike 2 will take any of Mike 1 textures. The morphs might be a little different in translations. Or not. Emily
