Hello forum, I havent asked to many poser questions.. I have poser4.03 and use a P4 1.4 ghz machine with 640 meg of RD-Ram and a Gforce 2 32meg video card.. Ive had pretty good luck with outsized renders.. I just had a scene with Victoria 2.0 with lots of props . I had everthing set the way I wanted..(gotta save as a pz3 before render next time)..in render i wanted it outsized 12in by 8 in.. I click render and it gets about half way up the page and stops..the rest of the render is a smear to the top of the page. Poser locked up and I had to ctrl, alt, delete to get out of it..sigh.. an hours work down the tube! So what went wrong?? damm I hate when it does that! regards PE

Prinzeugen, From what you said, Poser has not finished Rendering. I have noticed that during rendering if you scroll the window past the point that it is currently rendering it will smear what it has to the top. Also, Poser 4.03 will for some strange reason it will put the rendering progress bar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You may think that Poser is finished, but it is not. You are making a rather large image. So Poser has not locked up but just taking its time. To speed up renders, You can disable background applications. I do this and I have a P4 1.7 with 1Gig of Ram. But, I remember running Poser on a Celeron 366 with 128 mb of Ram. It took patience. Patience is needed for LARGE renders.

This is a fairly lengthy thread discussing the same problem - you might find it helpful.
