I've big truble with texture-mapping. The problem: 1. I've created an 3DSfile in 3D-StudioMAX 2.Load as 3DS-File in Poser3 3.Save as OBJ-File in Poser3 4.Load OBJ-File in UV-Mapper 5.Edit > "New UV Map" 6.Save new OBJ-File 7.Save Texture-Map 8.Load OBJ-File in Poser3 and apply texture WOW in screen-mode everithing works. 9.OK, Lets render ==> Damned no texture is applyed. Can someone let me know what i have done incorrect ? Thanks SHARKEY

Try applying the same texture to the .3DS model instead. Poser 3 doesn't seem to like UV co-ordinates on .OBJ files. Have you upgraded to version 3.01?

Thanks for the tip Serene, but doesn't work. The texture gives the 3DS-File the color but thats all. I work with the Poser3.0

Seems like you're going thru a long, involved process to get there, but I don't usually move things INTO Poser...not when I have Max!! But, I know whow these things can go.. First..are you sure you're applying the texture in Poser to the material and not just the preview? Preview is the screen display "material? There should be another choice in the drop down for the actual Object if you got everything imported properly. The problem could be in losing the UV coordinates in the multiple import/exports. Try creating the texture mapping right in Max and just saving the obj file from Poser to create a Texture template...not remapping in UVMapper. Thinking about this, I guess I did it today while making a conforming belt for Poser. It was created and texture mapped in Max and saved as a obj file. The obj wasn't directly imported into Poser as I was a figure. It was put in the Geometries folder and loaded thru an edited cr2 file, but the principle is the same I expect...the figure had all texture mapping from Max intact. Just remember that Poser doesn't support tiling of the UV coordinates, so you have to keep it simple in Max. Foxhollow

As long as the .obj you load in P3 is the same you saved from UVmapper, you shouldn't have any problem. Anyway, look into the "free stuff" section for Habware .OBJ plugin for Max, so you can save .obj directly from Max. Also, check what Foxhollow says abot "preview" materials; it's one of those mistakes you keep on committing no matter how experienced you are.
