Does anyone know whether the map that NASA is currently making will be avaiable to the pubilc or not because it would be a great asset to the 3d community. Tempest

Tempest they have already released some of the images. You can find them at the SRTM site. http://www.nasa.gov/newsinfo/srtm_images.html
