Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 6:57 pm)
I doubt it's a bug. The OBJ import plugins cause this if you have more than one copy in the Poser directory or the plugin components don't match up. Meaning you installed this by hand and were not very careful to make sure the files were updated correctly. Check the plugin carfully and make sure they match the ones in the zip and that you have no other copies anywhere in Poser directory. -JH.
A clean install is not needed because it doesn't have an Installer program. I don't think I made myself clear before... This program error will occur if there are multiple copies of the plugins within the Poser directory. Example: One copy in the plugins directory and one copy in a back-up folder within the Poser directory. It may also occur if the plugin *.arp and *.rsr are not matched for each other. Example: FFOBJ.arp from Beta 116 and FFOBJ.rsr from Beta 117. If you want to see this in action make a folder within your poser directory called "Test" and put your old OBJ plugins in it. The new copies will be in the Plugins directory as directed. Import or export an .OBJ file and watch Poser meltdown ;-) -JH. PS: No dunga, it doesn't offend.
