Subject: texture problem

If I set a spot light on a poser prop cube and render I get an ugly pattern from the spot light. If I put a texture on the cube and render I get a nicely lite and textured cube. Now my problem is, if I made the cube in TrueSpace and import it into poser as a dxf file, texture it and render it - the ugly spot pattern remains. How can I get dxf version to render the textured and spot-lite cube properly?

The cube must have UV coordinates applied to take the texture. I don't think dxf supports UV mapping, so the UV coordinates from trueSpace will get lost in the process. You need to use UVmapper (www.uvmapper.com) or some somilar application to apply UV coordinates to the cube. Export the cube from Poser in obj format and run it through UVmapper. Or you can export it with a format that supports UV mapping, like obj. There is a free plug in for trueSpace that makes obj export possible. Check on Caligaris site.
