Subject: Gruesome indirect lighting in C2

Had a silly little project to do and tried out the indirect lighting renderer in C2. Didn't use the Caustic renderer because it cast unwanted light reflections on the ceiling and that's where some words need to go. All I wanted was the light by itself. Mark

Gruesome indeed....I like it. At first, I thought this post was going to be a complaint about C2 indirect lighting according to your subject line. You fooled me.

I thought the same thing tkane18.

Me too :) About caustics, they're not mad for this kind of scenes so they won't enhance the quality . Mark, do you have only one light in the scene or several ? Did you use a skydome ? litst

Hi litst, Just one spotlight and the standard bi-gradient backdrop to give the metal in the gurneys a little character. Mark

And the gradient doesn't cast light ? WOW ! How did you get this blue light on the darkest areas ?

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I confused things by writing backdrop when I meant background. I have the gradient background with the skylight enabled at about 200%. The background/gradient is casting the blue light. To get the light in the room and dark places I only have the single visible backwall plus a ceiling and a floor.
